Teravent issues carbon credits as evidence clears validation, not on a fixed annual cycle — a credit issued this quarter reflects this quarter's monitoring data, not last year's snapshot. Every project, from mangrove restoration to direct air capture, is registered against a published methodology, validated for additionality and permanence, and monitored continuously rather than just at the point of issuance.
Credits are issued as Removal Units, Reduction Units, or Avoidance Units, each carrying its full evidence chain: baseline data, monitoring reports, verification visits, and — for nature-based pathways — co-benefit reporting against biodiversity and community outcomes.

Industrial emitters register a facility — not a project — and track reductions against a chosen pathway over time, the same way a carbon project tracks removal. This is the technical backbone behind Teravent Enterprise™: a corporate's emissions data clears the same validation pipeline as any other credit before a reduction or net-zero certificate is issued.
No softer bar applies just because the data is self-reported. Independent verification of facility-level inventories is a precondition for certification, not an optional add-on.
Domain 03
Lifecycle carbon-intensity registration for sustainable aviation fuel, low-carbon hydrogen, and biofuels.
Certified at the point of production, not the point of sale.
A fuel's climate value is only as credible as its lifecycle accounting — feedstock sourcing, production pathway, and blending all affect the real carbon intensity of every litre or kilogram produced. Teravent registers fuel producers against a lifecycle methodology and issues a carbon-intensity score alongside a chain-of-custody record.
This matters most where fuels are blended before sale: a Passport record follows the fuel through blending and distribution, so a buyer downstream can verify the CI score wasn't diluted or misattributed along the way.
Domain 04
Renewable energy certificates, grid emissions factors, and hourly carbon-free energy matching.
Clean power, matched to when and where it happened.
Energy attribute certificates only mean something if the generation behind them is real, additional, and not already claimed elsewhere. Climate Passport registers the generation source, the grid injection point, and — where a buyer wants it — hourly matching data showing when the power was actually generated relative to when it was consumed.
This is what separates a certificate that represents genuine additional renewable capacity from one that's just repackaging existing grid supply.
Domain 05
Embodied carbon registration for construction materials, including carbon-negative building products.
Embodied carbon, quantified at the point of production.
Mass timber, hempcrete, biochar-blended concrete, and mycelium composites can store more carbon than their production emits — but only if the embodied carbon accounting is done correctly, cradle to gate. Climate Passport registers the material composition, production process, and embodied carbon per unit, tying it back to the same Hybrid Standard pathway used for carbon-negative building materials.
End-of-life circularity data is captured too — whether a material can be reused, recycled, or safely returns its stored carbon at end of life.

Power and water usage effectiveness, compute-linked emissions, and renewable matching for the AI-driven surge in compute demand.

Data center energy and water demand has become a first-order climate issue in its own right. Climate Passport registers a facility's energy mix, Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), and ties compute utilization back to a measurable emissions intensity — not a self-reported efficiency claim.
Where a facility procures renewable energy to offset compute load, the same Energy domain infrastructure verifies that the match is real, additional, and not double-counted against another buyer's claim.
Domain 07
Water stewardship credits and watershed restoration outcomes, registered the same way a carbon project is.

Water scarcity and quality are watershed-level problems, so Climate Passport registers a watershed boundary the same way it registers a project's geospatial footprint — with ownership, baseline withdrawal and discharge volumes, and a monitoring plan for the stewardship outcome being claimed.
Outcomes are issued as Water Stewardship Units or Watershed Credits, each linked to verified reductions in withdrawal, improvements in discharge quality, or restoration of watershed function — not just a stated intention to conserve.
Domain 08
Plot-level traceability and due diligence for EUDR-regulated goods — cocoa, coffee, rubber, palm oil, soy, cattle, wood, and spices.

The EU Deforestation Regulation requires plot-level proof of deforestation-free origin before regulated commodities can enter the EU market. Climate Passport registers the plot the same way it registers a carbon project — geospatial boundaries, ownership — and tracks forest-cover status against the regulation's cutoff date.
A due diligence statement is generated once evidence clears validation, and the plot's record stays live for continuous monitoring, not just a one-time compliance check at the point of import.
